face face face

i miss drawing and doing face study. (it's always gesture..well because it's a homework)
probably this would be my last post for face study this year.
still a lot to improve. i really thought i figure out how to draw those features..i should really do that 100 drawings daily.

i experiment with color. it's not bad right?

composition study

so i did start to study composition today. my friend share a good movie reference.
and the movie i pic do really have good composition.

i really did have some trouble doing this one. i'm getting really rusty and have a hard time using the tablet (such a shame).

 i picked a colored movie and did try to do a colored study but since my o-c-ness creep in
i almost forgot my purpose and just concentrate on the outcome so after a few minutes (since the result is not good and luckily i realize it before i wasted hour on it) i drop it and shift to black and white.

the 1st study is very simple, i could have finished it very quick but before i realize i'm trying to copy every little details which of course will destroy the purpose of my study, so scratch again and go back to my main goal. the 2nd one is more complex but still have the same problem, i always have to  remind myself "no to details!"

i did enjoy it! and did notice some principles in composition. i'll make more study!!

let's just hope my next work will improve.

i just hope i'll continue to see more pics on the net.

forgotten w.i.p.

because i have so many art blogs, now i'm confuse where should i post.

this blog title don't live to it;s name...should be change soon. i can't post daily drawing stuff.

anyways, i accidentally found a w.i.p.! i think it's almost 2 years old. ahahhahah

i always forgot i have w.i.p.s. 

(but this one is one of my favorite, i really wanted to do it in full render but i forgot it)

i just edit the eyes and add some shadow in the face.
(and up to now i still can't get the grip of how to construct the eyes properly, darn better study more)

face proportion is not good since i always get excited shading and putting colors.

i always neglect the values but this one turn out not bad at all.

i still need to improve hair and face anatomy.

anyway just feel like sharing this one. one of my almost forgotten w.i.p.

now i wonder when will i make a full render digipaint

may 25

after a month of not drawing and studying anything...i came back to my senses and decided to do a value study. (celebrate). i feel inspired again. anyway i better work out on doing those tiny habits that is mainly focus on drawing.

i watch someone critic a work, he keep on emphasizing or stressing that you need a good drawing foundation. so yeah sketch pad i'll work with you again! and values too!

anyways, the result of my study is not bad, but still so many things to improve.

the comic strip

i remember i used to draw things that bothers me and make it in some small comic story. it does help me to get all those negative energy. i did one today. somehow it calms me down. maybe i'll start doing this when ever mr. frustration visit me.

frrrustrateddddd... again

i realize i don't have any decent work at all and all the work that i have is either half finish or not good at all.

and then it started...the list of negative thoughts to myself. so frustrating. i think i really don't know how to draw. ( i didn't even capture the frustrated expression)

well my friend said it's not yet too late, okay..don't give up you silly self! starting from scratch is not bad. we need patience, knowledge and practice!
(i really regret now not practicing those basic and fundamentals things).

i better ask my friend those quotes she share before.

i did this to practice those soft and hard edges. it's kind of hard to keep switching and adjusting to those brushes. i really don't use that technique (maybe that's why my drawings seems to lack something). well it does have different result. should figure it out how to switch to those brushes.

this is suppose to be a speed paint. but as usual it takes me more than an hour.i like the grey scale. i don't like much the color render, i still have to study those colors, must learn to mix and match those colors.

not quite happy with the face construction (mindless sketching again). too late to fix it. anyway. next time
i should analyze 1st the reference or the subject before doodling it down. (sorry random girl i make you look horrible)
